An Aeromexico flight from Los Angeles to Mexico City encountered problems before they were able to cross the border. The crew reported problems with autopilot, multiple alarms, and difficulty controlling the plane. They returned to Los Angeles but were faced with landing issues. After being directed to different runways, the plane landed half an hour later. The incident occurred on July 16, 2023.
On August 8, 2022, Flight 687 bound for Mexico City was not able to take off successfully from the airport of origin in Chicago after one of the plane’s tires burst as it was accelerating. The plane slowed down and stopped on the runway. The passengers evacuated and were transported back to the terminal. It was discovered later on that another tire was deflated. There were no reported injuries from the incidents.
